Micro Milling Road Surface Expectations

CP can be used to remove pavement distresses. As such, the performance of such treatments depends on the adequacy of the selected treatment to mitigate the distress and restore the proper structural section. CP can also be used to restore pavement smoothness, grade and cross-slope. More information on milling for grade corrections and smoothness can be found in ARRA's white paper on Smoothness. The success of these types of operations depends on selecting the correct milling depth, quality of the milling process and selecting the proper type on milling, conventional, fine or micro milling.
