Expectations
When used as a preservation treatment on roads in good condition, agencies can expect a lifespan of up to ten years. When ultra thin lift asphalt is applied on substandard roadways, it's lifespan will be reduced to just a few years.
- Ensure ultra thin lift is rolled quickly after application. Because of the thin application, the mixture cools quickly and must be rolled in a timely fashion to achieve density and prevent early raveling.
