Acceptance Guidelines
Acceptance of the finished scrub seal is as follows:
- For emulsion, acceptance is based on the sampling and testing for compliance with the requirements for the quality characteristics specified.
- For aggregate, acceptance is based on the sampling and testing for compliance with the requirements for the quality characteristics specified.
- The following will be based on visual inspection or by other method specified after construction:
- Uniform surface texture
- Raveling or aggregate loss
- Flushing
- Streaking
- Acceptance should not apply to identified areas where the existing surfacing, prior to application of scrub seal, contained defective areas as determined by the owner and the contractor.
- Defective areas could be the following: excessive rutting or flushing
